Jorge Gonzalez Obituary

Edinburg - Jorge Gonzalez, Jr., 53, was lifted up to God on Saturday, September 22, 2018 in Edinburg, Texas.

Mr. Gonzalez, along with his wife Beatriz, raised a beautiful family with three children, Jorge III, Lynette, and Kayla Gonzalez. He is the beloved son treasured by his parents, Jorge Sr. and Melinda Gonzalez. Jorge Gonzalez also leaves behind three siblings, Neldy, Jamie, and Joel Gonzalez, in addition to numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and many friends. Far too many to list here are the individuals and organizations who, over the years, were blessed by his generosity and touched by his spirit of kindness.

Our dad was the epitome of love. He was a spiritual man with a true heart that always made time for his family and friends. His selfless practice of placing the needs of others before his own embodies how he modeled his own life following the example set by Jesus Christ. He never failed to lift our spirits, to be the shoulder on which we could cry, or the person to whom we could turn to for advice. He somehow always knew when we needed one of his warm hugs or a laugh, and was always there to sustain us during times of distress. His legacy will remain in our souls as we stand strong together to continue to represent him and all of the moral values, beliefs, and principles that he instilled in our hearts. His genuine smile and kind eyes that radiated the room will forever be remembered. He was able to touch and change so many lives by being the perfect husband, dad, and friend. We rejoice in knowing that he is at peace in heaven and that he will be watching over us from above. He always told us, "Everything is going to be fine, just trust in God." Now, that is all that there is left to be done. One day, we will meet again, but for now we know that he is still walking with us every step of the way as our guardian angel.

We love you Dad,

Jorge III, Lynette, and Kayla Gonzalez

So sorry to hear about this. I worked at their furniture store and he was a serious, professional, and respectful boss but also funny at times... or better yet Yuri and I would talk smack about our job and he'd all of a sudden let out a laugh. Considerate and helpful man he was as well. It was a privilege working with him. Prayers to all family members.

Our heartfelt condolences to the whole Gonzalez family. We had the pleasure of meeting Jorge thru our brother in law Cris and my sister Sandra Garcia. No words can express the pain everyone is going through and our prayers for all is that God will give you strengths to face the coming days ahead without your loved one. Although it may seem hard right now, it will be the memories he left behind that will help push away the pain and bring a smile back again.

With much pain in my heart, I learn the news of a high school friend passing. Only good and kind memories come to mind from Jorge. May his good nature continue in his children. There are no words that can soften the pain of loosing such a good man. But I can add myself to the loss being felt by his passing. May you rest in peace friend.

Dearest Bea, Jorge, Lynette, and Kayla,
Our deepest condolences. Know that we are in prayer for our Lord to strengthen your family during this difficult time. We remember Jorge's beautiful smile and joyful heart. He always had a joke or just something funny to say to lift everyone's spirits. Always remember that you are a testament of that giving spirit. He will continue to live in you through memories and so much love.
Sharing in your sorrow and prayer,
Jack and Cindy Arnold
