Jorge Hinojosa Obituary

Roma,Tx - Our beloved Jorge David Hinojosa passed away on January 2, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. Jorge passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his residence in Garceno, Texas. Jorge was 43 years of age. Left to treasure his memory are his beloved wife, Alissa Iliana, their twin sons Fernando and Fidel and their daughter, Alexandria. Also, his parents, Fidel, Jr. and Eliahever Hinojosa; his brothers, Fidel Horlando (Elizabeth), Luis Alejandro, Jesus (Blanca) and sister, Marbelia as well as numerous nieces and family members.

Jorge was a proud Roma Gladiator of the Mighty Class of 1998. Since, 2015 Jorge was employed and proudly represented Hidalgo County Precinct #2 under Commissioner Eduardo "Eddie" Cantu as Director of Field Operations. True to his caring and dedicated nature, Jorge was always looking for ways and opportunities to better the precinct he worked for. Jorge was loved by his co-workers and admired for his work ethic. One of Jorge's greatest joys was to see the Astros win the World Series in 2022--he even predicted the now famous "No-Hitter" during the 2022 World Series. Jorge had an infectious smile; rooms lit up when he walked in. Those that had the honor of meeting Jorge can give testament to his positive nature and "never give up attitude". Jorge was the husband you dream about, the son all parents wish for, the father that make strong and brave sons and daughters; the brother that is an example of love and care, the friend we never want to lose and is always there for us and the human being we all strive all be.

Jorge's legacy will live forever in those he touched with his positive energy and his unwavering faith in God. Even in the most difficult moments, Jorge always kept his faith and asked those around him to join him in his faith. We will all miss Jorge dearly, but in keeping with Jorge's wishes remember the great times, embrace the memories, and never lose sight of the lessons Jorge left behind: Love, Care, Faith, Dedication, and Positivity-that is how we can keep Jorge

alive.
