JOSEFA SANCHEZ Obituary
MISSION - Josefa "Pepa" P. Sanchez, 84, passed away at her residence in Mission on August 25, 2011. She was a devoted Catholic and enjoyed attending services at the Basilica in San Juan. She had a green thumb, and had a passion for gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents Natividad and Amelia Partida; sons Domingo Sanchez Jr, Carlos H. Sanchez; daughter Florinda Sanchez; and granddaughter Jessica Cecilia Sanchez.
Pepa is survived by her husband of 70 years Domingo Sanchez of Mission; children Aurora Garza, Rosa M. Flores, Yolanda Garza, Dora Garza, San Juanita Garza, Josefa H. Pena, Mario A. Sanchez, Juan J Sanchez, Carlos H. Sanchez, Jose G. Sanchez, Jorge Partida-Sanchez; as well as 42 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday, August 28, 2011, from 1-9pm with a 7pm rosary, at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mission. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 29, 2011, at 10am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Services are under the direction of Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission.
