My deepest condolences to the Vecchio family. I met Bobby while as an officer for Pharr PD back in the middle 1970s. Bobby operated a wrecker but he often would just visit at the PD. As such he was well known by each of us working there. During the holidays he would bring botanas from the Round Up for those of us working. Once my car broke down west of Mission. He came and towed it and refused to be paid. I always knew him to be kind, caring and funny as he loved telling/hearing jokes. May the Lord welcome Bobby and provide comfort to his family. Respectfully, Lt. Dwayne Miller (Retired-McAllen PD).

I met Bobby in 1989 when I moved to the RGV. I was a single mom and I needed a clutch to my car. I found the clutch, and found my guardian angel here on earth, I call him "BOBBY" We have been friends since then. As we continued to talk through the years. I would always thank him for all the help he gave me and my daughter. He had gifted my daughter a toy plush puppy in which she still has to this day. Thanks to him I met my husband in 1992. He was the kindness person I´ve ever met. He would love to talk about his daughters how proud he was of them both. He would say if there daughters were just a little bit like him he would never have to worry about them. He loved his family and friends. My sincere condolences to the Vecchio family. Bobby, R.I.P. Keep the party going until we all meet again!

Deepest sympathies to Vecchio Family.
Leonel " Bobby " Vecchio was a very kind,
Very well liked, and generous man.
He had a huge heart and would continuously help people in need.
In particular those who needed their cars fixed at his expense.
Bobby was a big time jokester. He always had something funny to say and always had us laughing.
At P S J A High School he sometimes would bring a watermelon and all his friends ate.
No one but Bobby would think of something like that.
For those that knew him well,
He once told the Boder Patrol guys at the Falfurrias checkpoint to give a message to an agent friend of his who was not there at time,
Tell my friend that his speech therapist says hello.
Countless times we would go to Ciro´s in Weslaco to eat.
He loved the Maricos.
Bobby, I can still hear your laugh.
Bobby, you are missed.

Leonel " Bobby " Vecchio was one of most kind heated individuals you could meet.
He was also one of the biggest jokesters. He always made conversations fun and lively.
At P S J A High School, at times he would bring a watermelon and we would all partake. Only Bobby could think of doing something like that. I remember him helping people by getting their cars fixed at his expense.
We got together many times to go out to eat. Even though we were in Pharr, we traveled to Weslaco.
Bobby loved eating at Ciro´s. It a marisco restaurant.
I can still hear you laughing Bob.
You are missed.
Your friend,
Xavier Villescas
