Lilia Gonzalez Obituary
Lile is survived by her siblings Fidel (Lydia) Gonzalez, Jr., Flerida Gonzalez and Enedelia Gonzalez; sister-in-law Emma Gonzalez; brother in law Raul Lopez, Jr.; Lilia is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Lile's life was fulfilled with love mutually given and received from family and friends. Gifted with the ability to dress wounds, she gladly cared for those in need. She accepted the will of God with fortitude and grace. She was always hopeful for a better tomorrow. Her positive shone like a beacon among our family.
At festive gatherings, Lile enjoyed the music, dancing and laughter when talking about memorable moments of yester-year and foremost, cherished the presence and love of family and friends.
As an employee, Lile was diligent and passionate about doing an excellent job. For some time, Lile worked as a seamstress. Later, she was employed by HEB where she was recognized with an excellence award for her years of service.
After retiring, Lile spent countless hours reading, gardening, and keeping her house and yard impeccably clean.
Lilia was a devout Catholic, and faithfully prayed the Rosary daily through which she found the rest and Peace of God. With faith, we pray that God may grant our beautiful Lilia her eternal life in His kingdom.
A special thanks is extended to Alora' Hospice Care personnel.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at Brown Family Funeral Home, 701 E. Expressway 83, Mission, TX with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June11, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with burial to follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission, TX.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Oscar Arturo Garza, Hector Gonzalez, Adrian Olivarez, Angelo Bazan, Leonel Olivarez, Jr. and David E. Connelly
