LIZETTE CHRISTINE FUENTES PHARR/MISSION/CORPUS CHRISTI - Lizette Christine Fuentes, 35, passed away on March 3, 2015 at Christus Spohn Hospital in Corpus Christi. Lizette was born on October 14, 1979 in McAllen, TX. Lizette was a graduate of PSJA North's Class of 1998. She also attended STC, STVT and New Start School. She was employed by the city of Corpus Christi as a Resolution Intake Specialist for the Street Maintenance Department. Before moving to Corpus Christi, she worked for PSA Health Care in McAllen as an Administrative Assistant and then as an Office Manager in Corpus Christi. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Mission where she attended her first women's retreat. She was also chosen to be part of the team for the first women's retreat at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Alton. Lizette was a wonderful daughter, granddaughter, mother, sister and friend. She had an amazing personality and a great heart. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents; Luis and Cristina Singleterry. She is survived by her parents; Leticia Singleterry Fuentes (Lalo Muñoz) of Mission and Eliud Fuentes (Blanca) of Pharr, the father of her children; Gabriel A. Vela, children; Matthew Gabriel Vela, Isabella Lizette Vela, grandparents; Abraham and Elizabeth B. Fuentes, sibling; Celeste J. Muñoz, Christian Fuentes, step-siblings; Eduardo Muñoz, Erika Muñoz Torres, Eriza Muñoz, Alejandro G. Ayala, and Nayeli Maria Ayala. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2015 from 1 p.m.-9 p.m. with 7 p.m. rosary at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission. Funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, March 9, 2015 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Mission. Pallbearers will be: Deliminio Fuentes, Abraham Fuentes Jr., Jaime Perez, Cristobal Paderes, Joey Singleterry, Eduardo (Lalo) Muñoz. Honorary pallbearers will be Gabriel A. Vela, Alejandro Ayala, Justin Fuentes, Eduardo Lopez, Joseph Fuentes and Austin Fuentes. Burial will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
