MANUEL ORTIZ Obituary

MANUEL "MEME" ORTIZ
MISSION - Manuel "Meme" Ortiz, Sr., 79, passed away at his Mission residence on Nov. 10, 2010. He was born September 13, 1931 in Mission, Texas to Damacio and Julia G. Ortiz. Manuel served in the U.S. Army, where he was a Medic during the Korean Conflict. He was a man of strong faith, and was a dedicated Jehovah's Witness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings Rene Ortiz, Sr., Gloria Ortiz, and Arturo Ortiz, Sr..
He is survived by his children Anna Marie Ortiz of Jones Creek, Texas, Manuel (Rosanna) Ortiz, Jr. of Jones Creek, Texas, and Hector Javier (Maribel Mena) Ortiz of McAllen, Texas. He is also survive d by his grandchildren Daniel (Christina) Martinez, Jr., Irmalinda Martinez, Jose Emmanuel Lara, Manuel Ortiz,III, and Isamar Isabela Ortiz. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Talk will be held tomorrow, Saturday, November 13, 2010, at Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall at 4:00pm located at 3900 N. Schuebach in Mission. All are welcome to attend Memorial Services.
Services are under the direction of Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission.
