Matilde Fonseca Obituary
MISSION - Matilde Fonseca, 73, entered eternal rest on Friday, December 14, 2007, at Mission Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pantaleon Fonseca and Maria Becho Fonseca; three sisters, Calixtra Fonseca, Antonia Barrera and Bruna Suarez; one brother, Ramon Fonseca. He was a truck driver for Tesoro Petroleum.
He is survived by his wife, Cruz Rios Fonseca; five daughters, San Juanita Gandaria ( Edelmiro) of Pe_itas, Mary Ramirez (Roque)of Sullivan City, Alicia Salinas (Ernesto) of Edinburg, Yolanda Sanchez (Clay John) of Mission and Diana Garza (Jerry) of Mission; two sons, Martin Fonseca of Mission and Pedro Fonseca (Irene) of Abram; 14 Grandchildren and 1 Great -Grandchild.
Visitations will be held from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, December 16, 2007, with a rosary being recited at 7 p.m. at Flores Funeral Chapel. Funeral mass will be said at 1 p.m. Monday, December 17, 2007, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
Serving as pall bearers will be Adan Gandaria, Marco Gandaria, Noel D. Ramirez, Pedro Fonseca, Jr., Arnaldo Nieto, Jr., Abel Sanchez, Gerardo J. Garza and Nicolas Salinas.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Flores Funeral Home of Mission.
