Minerva Garza Obituary
Born in Delmita, TX, Mrs. Garza had lived in Edinburg most of her life, and was a parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Roel Garza; and two siblings, Herminia Villarreal, and Saul Pena.
Mrs. Garza is survived by her two sons, Roel (Amparo) Garza Jr. of Weslaco, Neil (Dina Herrera) Garza of Edinburg; five grandchildren, Marco Roel Garza of Weslaco, Noelle Diane Garza of Edinburg, Mario Javier Garza of Weslaco, Noah Daniel Garza of Edinburg, and Carlos Moises Garza of Weslaco; a sister, Aida Guerra of McAllen.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Monday, June 21, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 12 noon Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.

Condolences to all who love Mrs Garza. I had the pleasure of meeting her thru my work with Zar Hinojosa Jr CPA. Mrs Garza always treated everyone with sweetness, love and respect and she never forgot my birthday, even long after I retired. May she now share God's eternal glory.

My condolences to the Garza family. I met your Mom a long time ago when I worked at HEB on closner. I still remember when I was promoted to the other HEB store and she found out she followed because she said I reminded her a lot of her own. She was a very sweet woman and always had the best interests at heart. When she found out my wife had delivered our baby girl, she reached in her purse and was quick to give me some money to buy pampers and clothes for her. She wouldn't take no for an answer. I am sorry I wasn't able to attend services as I just came across this obituary. Prayers for the Garza Family. Hopefully one day I can meet you all.
