Orville Johnson Obituary

ORVILLE BON JOHNSON
Edinburg - Orville Bon Johnson, age 76, born August 22, 1932, passed away January 31, 2009, at Mission Regional Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife, Donna E. Johnson of Edinburg; children, Nadine (Tim) Kondrick of Brooklyn Park, MN, Jeff Johnson of East Bethel, MN, Jon Johnson of White Bear Lake, MN, Julie (Randy) Riley or East Bethel, MN, Jim (Pam Pryor) Johnson of Bethel, MN, Dan (Stephanie) Kormick of Thief River Falls, MN; sister, Judy (Jeff) Beyer of Brooklyn Park, MN; sister-in-law, Michiko Johnson of Denver CO; 9 grandchildren; and 1 great grandson.
Orville was preceded in death by his mother, Julia Bergman; brother, Norman Johnson; and sister, Patsy Norton.
Orville was a 51 year member of the American Legion, a 35 year member of the Forty and Eight, and was the Minnesota Grand Chef de Gare from 1997-1998. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a longtime Teamster. Orville also was a previous member of Coon Rapids, Minnesota Fire Department.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 1 p.m. at First Lutheran Church at 302 S. Sugar Rd. in Edinburg. A second service including military honors will be held at 2 p.m. at the American Legion Post 101 at 417 S. Cage in Pharr with a luncheon following at the Legion. Services are under the direction of Ric Brown Family Funeral Home of Mission.
