Paul Hallock Obituary

McAllen - It is with great sadness that the family of Paul S. Hallock, Jr. (Papaw) of McAllen, Texas announce his passing on December 19,2024 at Avalon Memory Care in Edinburg, Texas after a lengthy illness.

Paul is survived by his loving wife, Pat, of sixty-one years; daughter, Kristy (Bobby) Meyer, grandsons, Milo, Elliott and Austin Meyer, step-sons Bobby, Jr. and Cam Meyer, his sister Ethel (Tom) Rice; nephews, Tommy (Laura) Rice and Wesson (Christina) Rice and great nephews, Brandon and Andrew Rice. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul Sr. and Adele Hallock and his sister, Virginia Hallock.

Paul was a life-long member of the First United Methodist Church of McAllen. Paul was a teacher and coach in Mission ISD and McAllen ISD, known by m any simply as "Coach". He was proud of his time as a Captain in the Volunteer McAllen Fire Department and his membership in McAllen Lodge #1110 AF & AM and the McAllen Chamber's Greeters. He will be fondly remembered as a master of the BBQ pit. Paul also enjoyed sailing the high seas on Cruises for the past forty years with family and friends.

Paul's inurnment service at the United Methodist Church Columbarium and a celebration of a life well-lived will be held at a later date.
