Pilar Leal Obituary
A co-founder of the church of San Juan Diego, she worked tirelessly with her partner and spouse for life to bring the word of the Lord to the Colonia of El Flaco. She will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her son, Amado Leal, Jr., her mother, Francisca Lopez Sifuentes and her father, Albino Sifuentes.
She is survived by her spouse of 63 years, Amado Leal, Sr., her son, Carlos Leal (Norma Linda), her daughter, Alma Leal Arriola (Jesse) her son, Armando Leal (Dora) and brother Enrique Sifuentes. Also by her grandchildren, Jesse A. Arriola, Gabriel E. Arriola, Angelica V. Leal, Kristina Leal Melendez (Bryan), Carlos X. Leal and Monica L. Leal, plus her great grandchildren, Bryanna E. Melendez and Lucas C. Melendez.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 1:00 to 9:00 pm at Flores Funeral Chapel in Mission with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Wednesday, April 5 2017 at San Juan Diego Catholic Church in Citrus City (located on 7 mile and Western Road) with interment to follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Mission.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the church of San Juan Diego in her name in Citrus City.
Funeral services are entrusted to the care of Flores Funeral Home of Mission.
