My amazing father-in-law, Raul G. Guerra was a wonderful man. I will forever cherish you and our memories as a family. The most compassionate individual with a feisty kick. I'm forever grateful that you loved our family so much and spent every hour and minute with us till the end. I love you, and may you always rest in peace.

My condolences to the family. Mr Guerra not only taught us the basics of English and Journalism but he also taught us to reason and think on our own. Although I was not one of the students involved with the school newspaper or the yearbook, I know the countless hours he put in teaching my friends how to produce a great final product. I truly enjoyed my years at Roma High and it was teachers like Mr. Guerra that made that possible.

May your hearts be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times as you celebrate the amazing person that your father was. I had the pleasure of meeting him in 1973 (as a high school Jr.) when he was my English teacher. I remember his smile and his kind way with his students. He taught me much about writing and much about life. Know that he is now your angel forever. My sincere condolences to the Guerra family. Thank you Mr. Guerra for leaving such awesome footprints on so many, many hearts.

Mr. Guerra taught us how to think and not take the world at face value. He taught us as young journalists to think, to question and to analyze. He helped mold us into better citizens and scholars. I will never forget the hours we spent talking and learning in the old journalism classroom above the Agriculture building in Roma. Politics, literature, the news. Mr. Guerra didn't just teach us, he taught us how to think and inform. His lessons have been a blessing all my life. Thank you for your friendship, care and teaching me that the pen is mightier than the sword. My prayers are with you and all of your family.

I have such fond memories of my Uncle Raul. He is the one who shared the Cartoons page in the newspaper with me many years ago. Everytime I open a Sunday edition of a newspaper...I think of him. My thoughts are with you, cousin Vanessa and family.

My Uncle Raul, I will never forget you! You are the one who taught me about cartoons in the Sunday edition of a newspaper. More importantly, you were there for us when we were younger during our times of hardship. My thoughts and prayers go out to my cousin, Vanessa. Much love and prayers. Regretably, due to my health I am unable to be there at this time.
