RENE GUTIERREZ Obituary
WESLACO - Rene D. Gutierrez, 36, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2010.
He was born on January 23, 1974 in Weslaco, Texas. Son of Jose Gutierrez Sr. & Dora Almarez.
He is preceded in death by his mother Dora Almarez; brother Ricardo Almaraz and his niece Veronica Lee Martinez.
He is survived by companion George Wolcott; his father Jose Gutierrez Sr.; brothers: Jose Gutierrez Jr. & Alejandro B. Silva; his sisters: Rosalinda A. Martinez & Anita G. Perez; and numerous Nieces & Nephews.
Visitation will be held today Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Hawkins Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass is scheduled for Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 10 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.

Our last days together were great, we (me, you and denice) had some good times. you always made us laugh no matter how sick you were. you were the life of the party. you are missed even more with each day gone by and know you are not hurting anymore and are with your family up there (mom Dora, Ricky, & Veronica) watching over all of us down here. You will be greatly missed by all. I for one will miss you since you were always there when I called for flowers, weddings, etc. I am so truly blessed to have you as a friend. I am so sad that you are gone but I know you are not suffering anymore. Thanks for being such a wonderful loving fun person. You will live in my heart forever.
