Reynaldo Contreras Obituary
Reynaldo graduated from P.S.J.A High School in 1958. He also graduated from Pan American University with a Bachelor of Science. Received many accolades as an athlete and a coach. Started a teaching career in Raymondville, Tx, Alice, Tx, San Diego, Tx, and Eagle Pass, Tx. He has been inducted in various Hall of Fames as an athlete and a coach. Reynaldo has dedicated 55 years to education and coaching.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Contreras; his parents, Crisoforo and Maria Cruz Contreras; and his 12 siblings, Rogelio Contreras, Roel Contreras, Leonel Contreras, Ramiro Contreras, Erasmo Contreras, Armando Contreras, Crisoforo Contreras, Jr., Agripina Rodriguez, Alicia Farias, Arminta Mares, Arcelia Avila, and Viola Hirch.
Reynaldo is survived by his children, Michael Ray Contreras and Michelle Ann Contreras; two grandchildren, Hilton Rey Burleson and Andres Zuniga III; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Cremation will take place at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
