Robert "Bob" Hulett

Mission - Robert (Bob) Hulett died November 12, 2017. Bob was a son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugenia and Robert Hulett, and sisters, Alice Egge and Barbara Anderson. He is survived by his wife, Jackie; his sons, Chris and Andy; daughter in law, Deedee; grandchildren, Maddy, Ava and Jack; his brothers, Ray (Buzzy) Hulett, Alan Hulett, Steven Hulett, Peter Hulett (Elisa), John Hulett, Brian Hulett (Bunny), and David Hulett; and sister, Delores Easty (Mike); as well as many nieces and nephews.

Bob was born in Mankato MN and grew up in Duluth, MN. He attended the St Paul Seminary and was a priest for a number of years. In 1971 he married his wife Jackie and they resided in Apple Valley, MN. He ran a teen youth center in Burnsville, MN for five years and then was an urban forester for the City of Burnsville for 22 years. He did much outreach in the community with school children and social organizations, always telling the wonders of Mother Earth and protecting her. He retired to Mission, TX where he became a Master Gardener. He has always loved improving the environment with trees, flowers and shrubs and his love of this brought him into the lives of many people.

His love for the church and helping people led him to help in the RCIA program at Our Lady of Sorrows church. Helping people find their love for God was his mission.

Visitation will be held from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Kreidler Funeral Home. Memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, December 1, 2017 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made in his name to Our Lady of Sorrows Guardian Angel Program, 1108 W. Hackberry Ave, McAllen, TX, 78501-4370.
