Roel Castro Obituary
A beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, friend and an award winning pit master, Roel was always the life of the party. He enjoyed spending quality time with family, friends and especially traveling with his high school sweet heart and love of his life, Deborah. Roel will be dearly missed and forever loved by all whom knew him.
Mr. Castro is survived by his wife, Deborah M. Castro; two sons, Roel Guadalupe Castro and Rene Joel (Marla) Castro; four grandchildren, John Isaiah Castro, Aubry Renee Castro, Mark Uriah Castro, and Luke Elijah Castro; his siblings, Ruben (Gloria) Castro and Aleida Castro; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church 2209 Kendlewood Ave. in McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. Pallbearers will be John I. Castro, Mark U. Castro, Rick Castro, Lee Castro, Jesus M. Munoz, and Jorge H. Munoz.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.

Deborah, Roel Guadalupe, Rene Joel (Marla), and families. Severely saddened of Roel's passing. It's hard to put into words what he meant for all of us. All the great memories he gave to everyone. He will be remembered as a great, generous, loving person and respected by all his friends and family. Memories will always keep him in our hearts and God will keep him in Heaven. Remember God is omnipresent . May he Rest In Peace.
