SANDRA LUZ VELIZ EDINBURG - Sandra Luz Veliz, 60, died Monday, November 30, 2015, at her residence in Edinburg. Born in Edinburg, Mrs. Veliz had lived there all of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eduardo and Maria Guadalupe Vallejo; and three brothers, Eduardo Vallejo, Jr., Antonio "Tony" Vallejo and Saul Vallejo. Mrs. Veliz is survived by her husband, Armando Veliz; three daughters, Belinda (Salvador) Arellano, Jr., Deanna Villarreal, Beatriz L. Martinez (Guillermo Garcia), all of Edinburg; six grandchildren, Salvador Arellano, III, Anyssa Arellano, Ilian Arellano, Arleth M. Lopez, Ivan M. Garcia, Giovanni A. Garcia; four siblings, Jose Roberto Vallejo, Jose Luis "Pepe" Vallejo, Elizabeth "Pat" Trejo, Minerva Vallejo; and numerous nieces and nephews. She enjoyed dancing, reading, going to the movies and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Veliz was fun, loving and always wore a smile on her face. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, December 1, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
