SYLVIA VENEGAS Obituary
MISSION - Sylvia Venegas, 44, went to be with our Lord on Sunday June 5, 2011 at her residence. Ms Venegas was born on Sept 6, 1966, in Edinburg Texas to Mr. & Mrs. Cornelio & Francisca Perez. Ms. Venegas was a lifelong residence of Palmview, Texas.
Survivors include a son, Lee Roy Venegas of Mission; daughters, Celina Renee Perez of Mission and April Nicole Saiz of Mission; a brother, Cornelio Perez Jr. of Mission; sisters, Olga Cisneros of Mission, Anita Barrera of Mission, Maria Gonzalez of Palmview, Yolanda Santos of Mission, Irene Cardoza of Mission, Veronica Ramos of Mission and Nora Liza Hernandez of Palmview; and four grandchildren.
Public viewing will be held Tuesday June 7, 2011 from 1 to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rivera Funeral Home of Mission. Chapel service will be on Wednesday June 8, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Rivera Funeral Home Chapel of Peace in Mission. Burial to follow at Garden of Angels Cemetery in Abram Texas at 11:15 a.m.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rivera Funeral Home of Mission.

My deepest sympathy to Sylvia Venegas family. What I remember of Sylvia back in our High School years was her smile, laugh, and humor. Lee Roy, I met you briefly as a baby when I went to Mission Hospital to visit a friend who shared the same room with your mom. She held you with so much love because you are her first born. I will never forget her look as she held you tight (your protector).

I know Yolanda Santos, Silva's sister, from working at Mission Regional Medical Center. I am so sorry for your loss and grief at this very difficlt time.
