Tomas Noel Tijerina

Mission, Texas - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tomas Noel Tijerina, a man of remarkable talents and passions, who touched the lives of many with his adventurous spirit and kind heart. Tomas departed from this world on February 9th 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, generosity, and a profound impact that will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him. Tomas was a husband, a father, a grand-father, a brother, a son, a Vietnam Era Veteran, a world adventurer, an astronomer, a photographer and videographer, an aviation pilot & instructor, a restauranteur, a lover of nature, an entrepreneur, a project manager, a caretaker, a promoter, a philanthropist, a realtor, an insurance broker, a president of various organizations, a rancher and a scholar. Tomas is preceded in death by his parents, Judge Cruz Melicio Tijerina and Lillie Marie Tijerina. He is survived by his loving wife Renee Martin, his four children Tomas "TJ" Tijerina, Sam Tijerina, Nigel Carter, and Ricka Tijerina, his grandchildren Gianna Tijerina, Joshua Tijerina, and Emilia Cardenas Tijerina, and his siblings Leticia Tijerina, Louie Tijerina, Cruz Tijerina, Trina Cameron, and Jaime Tijerina. A celebration of Tomas's life will be held at 9 am on Saturday February 17, 2024, at Palm Valley Church, where friends, family, and members of the community will come together to honor his memory, share stories of his extraordinary life, and find solace in each other's company.
