Veatriz Paz Obituary
TEXAS CITY/ WESLACO - Veatriz Paz, 54, passed away to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 19, 2007, at Weslaco Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born April 13, 1953 in Weslaco, Texas to Francisco and San Juanita Maldonado. She was preceded in death by her father and sister, Velia Maldonado. She is survived by her husband, Javier Paz of Texas City, Texas; 3 daughters, Judith Lynn Vaughn, San Juanita Nicole Paz and Marissa Lea Paz, all of Texas City, Texas; mother, San Juanita Maldonado of Weslaco, Texas; 1 brother, Francisco Maldonado Jr. of McAllen, Texas; 4 sisters, Viola Garcia of Naples, FL., Velma Diaz and Velsa Maldonado both of Weslaco, Texas and Velda Maldonado of Ft. Myers, FL; also surviving is 1 granddaughter, Samantha Vaughn. Visitation was held from 12 to 9 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2007, with a 7 p.m. prayer service at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Chapel of The Heavens. Funeral service will be held 3 p.m. today, Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Chapel of The Heavens. Officiating will be Rev. Herman Mendez. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Rosalio Diaz, Ismael Hernandez, Rolando Turrubiates, Mike Paz, Michael Gonzalez and Mark Garcia. Arrangements were under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc.
