Christine A. Smith

1963 - 2022

Christine A. Smith, age 58, of Alma passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at MyMichigan Medical Center Alma with family by her side. She was born June 15, 1963, in Carson City, Michigan the daughter of Miles and Joanne (Brenner) Moomey. Chris graduated from Alma High School in 1981 and earned her LPN Degree from Montcalm Community College. She worked for over 20 years as an LPN at Masonic Pathways and had spent the last two years working as the Administrator of Mt. Pleasant Comfort Care. She married Randy Smith on August 20, 1994, at their home in Alma. Chris was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was her greatest treasure, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed her koi pond, gardening and working with her daughter on Northern Neverland Fox Rescue. Chris is survived by her husband, Randy Smith of Alma; her children, Corey Sullivan of Indiana, Kaylee (Corey) McCaw of Breckenridge, Colton and Sierra Smith both of Alma; her beloved grandchildren, Maddax, Adyson and Kasen McCaw; a brother, Miles "Scott" (Deborah) Moomey of Breckenridge; and a sister, Cathy (Rob) Barror of Roscommon. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022, at 11 am at Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Brandon officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in Chapel Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 5th from 5 to 7 pm and again on Friday from 10 am until the time of services at the funeral home.
