Ernie was a cousin I always looked up to, for his submarine service, his business success, and devotion to family. In Barbara, he found a beautiful wife. Such a solid guy. I still have a home movie of him at a holiday party with the extended family, in Livonia. Any time I saw him, it was a special occasion. My respect for Ernie is deep. Always will be.

Enrnie, was my closest relative, he was my first cousin and older brother I never had. From my perspective he had it all, looks, brains and courage. He would make things happen. He was one man with courage that would create a majority. I loved this Man and will miss him greatly. His passing leaves a hole in my heart that will never be filled. See you soon Cuz

I'm so sorry to hear about this. Mr. Komar I will always love you .. You were one of the most tenderest men I've ever known. I will never forget you, even though I've only seen you a few times since your moving to Alma 40 years ago.. I loved your laugh and how kind and gentle of a dad you were to Darrell, Laurie and Randy. I will never forget, also, that you called me your "little Polish joke". Mrs. Komar, Darrell, Laurie and Randy... my heart goes out to you.
