She enjoyed trips during the winter months to Texas to visit with her family. Frances is survived by her children, Ellen (Mark) Kern, Freeland, MI., Drs. Frances and I are cousins. During summer breaks from school, I would get to visit my cousins. Fran and I were only 6 months apart in age. I loved my time with her, sometimes we were at our Grandma Wight´s and Uncle Willard´s house or when I was at her home on their farm. As we got into our teens it was all about boys and who we had a crush on. Laughing and giggling together! I cherish those summer vacations in my childhood. When I was married and a mother,I would look forward to camping at Orchard Beach State Park in Manistee. It was always a large family clan gathering, and gave Fran and I time to visit and refresh old memories. She was a very special lady and cousin to me.
