HOHLBEIN, GORDON N. Age 54; of Shepherd; passed away Monday, March 27, 2017 at MidMichigan Medical Center – Gratiot. Funeral Services for Gordon will be held at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Shepherd on Thursday, March 30, at 11 a.m. with Father Fred Kawka officiating. There will be Visitation, Wednesday, March 29 at St. Vincent DePaul from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 7 p.m. with Dr. Jerry Green officiating. Gordon was born September 18, 1962 the son of Eugene and Catherine (Moeggenborg) Hohlbein. He married Dawn Anderson October 9, 1982. Gordon enjoyed deer hunting and working on small engines in his spare time. He particularly enjoyed passing on his knowledge and skillset of small engines to his son Zack. Gordon is survived by his wife Dawn; his son Zack; his nine siblings Tom (Liz) Hohlbein of Shepherd, Jan Hetherington of Shepherd, Ed (Barb) Hohlbein of Shepherd, Dan (special friend June Craven) Hohlbein of Shepherd, Louann (Dave) Stanke of Clare, Lee (Patti) Hohlbein of Shepherd, , Helen (Al) Kovach of Sebewaing, Patty (Jerry) Suidinski of Holland, and Mike Hohlbein of Shepherd; his sister-in-law Penny Anderson; his father and mother-in-law John and Judy Anderson; and many nieces and nephews. Gordon is preceded by both his parents, his sister Mary Curtiss, and his sister-in-law Debbi Anderson. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Berry Funeral Home of Shepherd.
