John Kutchinski, age 88, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away August 31, 2021. Funeral Services for John will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 10, at Clark Family Funeral Chapel West Lawn Pavilion with Deacon Jim Damitio officiating. Interment with Military Honors will take place in Calvary Cemetery. A luncheon will follow graveside services at Clark Family Funeral Chapel West Lawn Pavilion. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of Service on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association. Envelopes will be available at the chapel. John was born February 12, 1933, in Metz, MI, the son of John and Angeline Kutchinski, Sr. He served our country in the United States Air Force. John had previously owned an auto body shop in Chicago. He was married to Sally Kutchinski. John and Sally lived on a lake where he could do the things he loved most: fishing, boating and spending time with his grandkids teaching them how to enjoy all the things he loved. John is survived by his wife Sally Kutchinski of Shelbyville, IL; his children Robert Kutchinski, Doug Kutchinski, Johnny Kutchinski and Sheila Kutchinski; step-children Kathy (James) Posthumus, Wally (Michelle) Klein, Brenda Payne, and Dawn (Dan) Wheatley; several grandchildren; siblings Gene Kutchinski of Cedar Springs, Bernie (Barb) Kutchinski of FL, Art Kutchinski of Coloma, Robert (Sue) Kutchinski of Saginaw, Pat Layman of Sparta, Nancy (Bob) Shilander of Holland, and Rosie (Michael) Gray of Mt. Pleasant; and many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by step-daughter Judy Doorndos; brother Joseph Kutchinski; sisters-in-law Perky Kutchinski and Nancy Kutchinski; and brother-in-law George Layman.
