Jon Comer Obituary
February 21, 2014
Jon L. Comer, age 56, of Alma, Michigan, succumbed to pancreatic cancer at his home surrounded by his loving family on February 21, 2014.
Jon is survived by his wife Ann; sons, Zachary Comer, Jacob Comer; daughters, Mary (Joshua) Schwartz, Rhiannon McLane; mother Joyce Hyde; brother Rick (Pam) Comer; and many loving grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and extended family. Jon was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend.
Jon worked for Delfield Corp. in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan for 32 years as an electrician and lead technician. His work family was a huge source of support during his career and final days. He was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Friends who were lucky enough to go fishing with Jon were able to fish at his various secret locations in hopes of catching a "big one."
A special thank you to University of Michigan Cancer Center for their expertise and care, and to Great Lakes Caring Hospice out of Lansing.
A Memorial Service will be held in early spring/summer, as these were Jon's favorite seasons. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Pardee Cancer Center Treatment Fund.
