Judith Cheryle Coffell

1945 - 2021

Judith Cheryle Coffell, 76, of Weidman, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021, with her family by her side. She was born to the late Charles Edward Allen and the late Mary Louise (Williamson) Allen, on August 27, 1945, in Mt. Pleasant, MI. Judy graduated from Shepherd High School in 1963. She married the late Bernard Wayne Coffell, Sr. on August 2, 1971. They raised seven children together. She enjoyed their home on Coldwater Lake in Weidman. Judy loved laughter and those who were fortunate to know her well got a glimpse of just how witty she was. She enjoyed Tai Chi, gardening and going out for lunch with her sisters, friends and family. She had a love for birds, bumble bees, hummingbirds and 2 ducks (Jackie and Ming Ming). She enjoyed spending time with family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Judy is survived by the seven children they raised together: Bernie (Rita) Coffell, Jr., Tim Coffell, Cindy (Russ) Stowell, Brad (Missy) Coffell, Alan (Gale) McBride, Brett Coffell and Craig (Heather) Coffell. Judy is preceded in death by her parents: Charles and Louise Allen; husband: Bernard Coffell; brothers: Charles Allen and Gary Allen; sister: Carol McCune granddaughters: Taylor McBride and Desiree Coffell and great-great-granddaughter: Amora Vazquez. Cremation will take place at Daisy Hill Crematory in Mt. Pleasant. A small burial of her ashes at Riverside Cemetery will be held at a later date.
