Randy Lee Edwards

Randy Lee Edwards, age 68, of Alma, MI, passed away Friday, June 4, 2021, at his home.

A Memorial Service will be held at Forest Hill Church of Christ on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor John Robinson officiating, with a luncheon to follow. Burial will take place at a later date at Chapel Garden Cemetery, Seville Township, MI. Visitation will be held on June 8, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Randy was born in Gratiot County, Michigan on June 3, 1953, the son of Herbert and Beatrice (Sanders) Edwards. He graduated from St. Louis High School with the class of 1971. Randy married JoAnne Koutz on October 12, 1974. They were blessed with 44 years of marriage before JoAnne's passing on October 20, 2018. Randy was soon to be married on June 19, 2021 to Kathy Ann Matthews (Schreiber).

Randy enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid sports fan. Forever Go Blue! He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Randy worked with the Alma Police Department as a crossing guard for many years. He was a member of the Forest Hill Church of Christ.

He is survived by sons: Brian and Nanette Edwards of Whitmore Lake, MI; Jason and Karen Edwards of Tipp City, OH; and Chad and Desi Edwards of Alma, MI; daughter Tiffany and Devlin Edwards of Alma, MI; fiancé Kathy Matthews of Lakeview, MI, grandchildren: Elijah, Emma, Emelia, Sophia, Eilee, Connor, Evelyn, and Kolton; siblings: Ted Edwards, Linda and Jim Sasse, Judy and Gary Derry, and Andy Byers. He was preceded in death by his parents, step father Elmer Byers, wife JoAnne, and 2 grandchildren.
