Steven Beane Obituary

Steven Lee Beane passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at the age of 65. He is the son of Nancy Beane and the late Lee Beane, of blessed memory. Husband to Shayne Beane, father of Eric (Becca) Beane and Gabriele Beane, grandfather to Evan Beane, brother to Robert (Cynthia) Beane, Lorraine (Dave) Galdes, Suzanne (David) Zaleski and Kathleen (Brian) Granader. Steve began his career traveling the world for the Toys R Us Corporation helping to open retail stores, as far away as Australia, and finished his career with the Kmart Corporation managing various locations around the country. His employees said he was a good boss and they loved working for him. He was a huge sports fan and was a collector of sports memorabilia. He made friends everywhere he went and loved his family. Steven was a caretaker by nature and loved helping people. Every week he visited his mother to take her shopping and help out around the house and was always around to assist his in-laws with their needs as well. Although he lived in Florida for many years, he retired to the area to be near his mother and the healing land of Northern Michigan. In a short time he took over many of the chores and responsibilities around the property and was an integral part of her life and his wife's family. The sadness of his passing will be felt by many near and far. He will be remembered as a kind, generous and loving person you could always count on. He was immensely liked by many. While our hearts are broken over the tremendous loss of Steve, we are comforted knowing that we had him in our lives for as long as we did. Funeral services will take place at 12 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at the United Methodist Church in Reed City with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. A luncheon will follow services concluding with burial at the Pinora Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Heart Association.

Dad,

It has been one year since you left us. I miss you so much. I just wanted to stop in and let you know that we think of you daily. Everything is going great down here, Evan is growing up so quick and we are expecting our second baby boy in March. You were going to be the best grandfather. Until we meet again, I love you.

Dear Beane family, so sorry to hear this evening of Stephen´s passing. Wish I had known so I could have come and given all of you hugs. Haven´t seen him in years but still always remember him being a kind person at uncle Harold´s Farm and aunt Regina and uncle Orlin´s cabin. Thinking of you.
