Vincent James Lo Piccolo

Vincent James Lo Piccolo, a long-time resident of Central New York and Central Michigan, begrudgingly passed away September 18, 2022 after a life-long battle with numerous ailments at age 79. Born in Brooklyn, NY to Anthony and Madeline Lo Piccolo, Vince was passionate about education from the start, first at Mount Carmel, and eventually in his career as an educator to the developmentally disabled. Vince served in the Army during the early years of the Vietnam war. After returning stateside, he attained a total of 5 degrees from Central Michigan University. Vince put God first, and his four children a very close second, including years as a stay-at-home father and taxi. Vince was a frugal shopper including getting the most from a bottomless cup of coffee at a local K-Mart, Meijer or Walmart. He spent a great deal of his time giving to others, including at Sacred Heart, meals on wheels, and as support for other men struggling with mental health. He spent most of his retired life walking. He also enjoyed marathon sessions in the sauna at the Holiday Inn, the CMU student activity center, and the Auburn YMCA. Vince was predeceased by his mother and father, and a son Tom. Vince leaves behind two brothers, Rocco (Jan), Anthony (Betsy), a daughter, Gayle (Robert) LoPiccolo-Sklar, sons Marco and Daren (Kari), six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and countless nieces, nephews and their kin. If you wish to honor Vince, you may donate to St. Jude's and/or vote against anyone associated with the Republican party. Family will gather in Auburn, New York to celebrate at a date to be determined.
