Darrell Smith Obituary

Darrell "Bubba" Raymond Smith entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 14, 2016, at University Hospital. Son of Nora Smith (Gregory) Gibbs and the late Darrell Raymond Sparks. Grandson of Dolores Sparks, Albert Sparks, and the late Alviris Jarrett. Great grandson of Mary Smith Ochala, Leon Smith, Raymond and Evelyn Harris. Brother of Kanita and Jasmin Smith, Nakita (James) Smith, Kayla Gibbs, and Michael Kelly. Nephew of Carlen Sparks, Mary Lee Smith, Anthony (Terrance) Sparks, Reginald (Tasse) Sparks, Herbert Smith, and John Jarrett. Godfather of Darius Raemond Sparks. Godson of Carlen Sparks and Ralph James, Jr., also survived by 3 nieces, 4 nephews, 4 great aunts, 2 great uncles and a host of cousins other relatives and friends. Age: 33 years, a native of New Orleans, LA, and a resident of Marrero, LA. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1013 Robinson Ave., Marrero, La., on Thursday, April 21, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Frank Williams officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, LA. Gone, but never forgotten.....we will see you,again, Bubba, in the sweet by and by. So, hold on,family and grieve, if you must. But just remember that God has taken back what is rightfully His. And one day, soon and very soon, He is coming back for the rest.
