Eleanor McGehee Obituary

Eleanor Lois (Memsen) McGehee, age 86, entered into glory on Thursday, December 15, 2016, while at her home. Lois was born February 25, 1930, in Chicago, IL, where she resided for 75 years before coming with her daughter, Karla, to New Orleans, LA. Lois was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, a loving wife of the late Pat Henry (died July 4, 1970), and a loving mother of Pat and Karla. Survivors include her son, Patrick McGehee (Sandra); her daughter, Karla McGehee; her granddaughters, Jennifer McGehee-Valdez (Raul Jr.) and Julie McGehee; and her great grandson, Raul Jax Valdez. Lois is the daughter of the late Carl Emil and Lillian Florinda (Nodeen) Memsen and the sister of the late Charles Memsen. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at First Baptist Church of Belle Chasse, 8828 Highway 23, Belle Chasse, LA 70037 on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 12:00 Noon. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will be at a later date in Dolton, IL. Online condolences may be offered at www.gardenofmemoriesmetairie.com.
