Robert W. Hofacker

Massillon - Robert W. Hofacker, 82, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018 following an extended illness. He was born in Oak Harbor on August 19, 1935 to the late William G. and Melinda Hofacker.

Robert was a graduate of Oak Harbor High School, Class of 1954, and Terra Technical College. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor, and a member of the Oak Harbor Lions Club before moving to Massillon, OH.

He retired from Brush Wellman after 43 years. He served with the United States Army in Korea during the early 60's. Robert enjoyed fishing, puzzles and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Gaylyn Hofacker of 53 years; their two children and four grandchildren. Robert was also preceded in death by his brother and sister.

The family will hold a small graveside service at Roose Cemetery, Oak Harbor.
