Fremont - Thomas L. Beckley, 73, of Fremont, OH passed away on March 6, 2021 at ProMedica Memorial Hospital in Fremont. He was born on October 19, 1947 in Fremont the son of William H. Beckley and Delores (Wetzel) Beckley.

Tom served in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1969. He married Leslie Bigaila on January 18, 1969 in Monroe, MI and she survives.

He was a conductor for Norfolk and Southern Railroad for twenty-five years retiring in 1994 as a foreman conductor. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a life member of the Fremont VFW and member of the American Legion. Tom was an avid reader and enjoyed westerns and military movies. He loved to spend time with his family and was an avid Ohio State Fan. Tom enjoyed going to his son's, Grant, sporting events as he was growing up.

Tom is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Leslie Beckley, Fremont; son, Grant (Jody) Beckley, Lewis Center, OH; granddaughters, Lauren and Kathryn Beckley; sisters, Linda (Bob) Lagrou and Joyce (Dave) Mapus both of Fremont; sister-in-law, Cindy (Ken) Haslinger, Fremont and brother-in-law, Tony (Sue) Bigaila, Perrysburg.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ruth Ann Havens.

Visitation: Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH.

Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, March 10, 2021; 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 550 Smith Rd., Fremont, OH.

Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont, OH with military honors provided by the VFW and American Legion.
