Annette V. "Anne" Arnett

Annette V. Pemberton Arnett (Anne), 85 of Eliza­bethtown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021 surrounded with much love and prayer.

She grew up in Ashland, Kentucky, and attended Ashland High School where she met her high school sweetheart, John. They married in May of 1956 and later moved to Elizabethtown where they raised their two children, Debbie and Tim. She was a secretary at Valley View Elementary and Helmwood Heights Elementary. She always had a special place in her heart for all of her school kids. Anne loved to play bridge and made many lifelong friends from her bridge clubs. Anne adored her granddaughters, Paige and Brooke, with whom she shared such wonderful times. She also had five great-grandsons that were the light of her life.
Anne truly touched so many people in her life on this earth and always had the ability to see the best in everyone.

As a side note, as I write this, I am so very proud that she was my mom and I will always love her. She was my rock and always will be. May she continue to watch over us all!

She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Arnett; a son, Timothy Arnett; and parents, Ralph and Rose Swartz Pemberton.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Tom Griffin of Bowling Green; two granddaughters, Paige (James) Prindle and Brooke (Nathan) Blaszczyk; and five great-grandsons, Carter, Jaxon and Parker Prindle and Bryce and Cannon Blaszczyk.

The funeral is at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.

Visitation begins at noon Thursday at the funeral home.
