Brenda Johnson Obituary
She was a member of Upton Baptist Church, where she was the pianist for many years, retired elementary educator and student teacher supervisor through Western Kentucky University, was an avid golfer and loved to travel.
Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edward Johnson; and her parents, Dellard and Mable Ward Moor.
Survivors include a son, Jed (Robbin) Johnson of Farmington; two granddaughters, Emily (Nolan) Taylor of Leitchfield and Julia (Johnny) Hensley of Metropolis; three great-grandchildren, Bentley Payne, Luke Taylor and Thomas Taylor; a sister-in-law, Laura Morris of Elizabethtown; and a nephew, Steve (Leah) Morris of Arizona.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Brother John Smith officiating. Burial follows in Upton Cemetery.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and continues at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
