Cassie Ferguson Obituary
He was born in Paintsville, Kentucky, to Alonzo Ferguson and Martha Ferguson. He was an Army veteran having served for 23 years, fighting in the Vietnam War. He was Baptist by faith and a member of Brooks Baptist Church.
CJ enjoyed rooting for his favorite team, University of Kentucky, spending time with his family and keeping his lawn in perfect condition with his zero-turn mower.
CJ carried immense pride for his service in the military, his family and his time spent worshiping with fellow Brooks Baptist members.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Debbie Ferguson; his son, James (Tiffany) Cooney of Arizona; his two daughters, Brandy (Steve) Cook and Jill (Josh) Fogle; sister, Jan (Larry) Sparks; grandchildren, Cassie (Alex) Ferguson-King, Jackson Cook, Aubrey Cook, Braighton Fogle, Maddie Fogle and Aidyn Fogle, Landon Cooney, Grayson Cooney, Sydney Coleman, Logan Coleman and Hailey Coleman.
The funeral is at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, at Brooks Baptist Church in Elizabethtown with Pastor Joe Weber officiating. Burial immediately follows in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central in Radcliff.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Chism Family Funeral Home in Vine Grove and from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
