I remember driving 11 hours down I-75 on the way to the National Planning Conf. in Orlando. We stopped at a motel in northern Florida and headed to the hot tub to relax. As I got in the tub, the person across from me said Hi Kriss!. I said Hi Chris! back as it was Chris Hunsinger smiling at me across the hot tub. I always enjoyed talking to Chris at planning events as no matter where or when I ran into him, his friendship continued as though there had been no interuption by time or space. We will miss him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Chris was a dedicated planner. He was always willing to help his fellow planners and was a joy to be around. He will be missed!

Kathy & Anna,
My heart sank when Janae told us about Chris. Prayers are lifted for your family and know if there is anything you need, please let us know. My mind thinks, "Where's Waldo" and we all know the answer - He is Heaven with his Father. God's Blessings to such a beautiful family -

Kathy and Anna we are so sorry to learn that Chris passed away. Kim and I will be praying for you both and will always cherish the wonderful memories we have of Chris. Chris and Pastor Willis were the first to warmly welcome our family to KY back in the late 80's!! We will always remember Chris' smile, the way he took time to make each conversation important, and his love for Jesus Christ. We will truly miss you, Chris.

Kathy and Anna; my sympathies. I hope it comforts you and all of Chris' family to know that Chris touched so many people and his legacy will live on in all of us. Chris gave me my first job as a planner and instilled in me a level of tact, patience, insight, and professionalism that will stay with me forever.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Hunsinger family. He will be deeply missed by many but never forgotten. I met Chris when I was a planner for E'town many years ago and even after I left it was always good to see him at the national and state planning conferences to catch up and tell stories. He was truly dedicated to Hardin County and I admired that. He was a good family man who loved his family and his community and we will miss him.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Hunsinger family. I always liked talking with Chris to find out what he was working on in Hardin County. He loved his community and his family. Hardin County is a better place because of Chris'dedication to making it better. We will miss you but not forget you. A very good person and planner!

February 25, 2013

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family through this heartbreaking time. He will be missed by many planners across the Commonwealth. It was always a bright moment to see Chris's friendly face at our conferences each year. We will miss his kindness and sense of humor.

February 25, 2013

I knew Chris from when I first started working for E'town just over 26 years ago. Chris was always a person you could call and bounce ideas off of. He had a knack for removing the emotion from a situation and looking at it from a calm rational perspective. As the kids started growing up our conversations became more about what the kids were doing than planning things.

Hardin County will find someone to take the Diretors position. However, I don't think you'll ever replace Chris.

Chris's family will be in our family's prayers. Chris, through his personal and professional associations touched a lot of lives in Hardin County and the county will be better for having known Chris.

Kathy, Anna and family, I am so sorry for your loss and you will be in my prayers. Chris was the most pleasant person I have ever known. I always enjoyed stopping by to discuss something with him and knew we would continue talking about something, I am honored to have been his friend. I will remember him as the picture in the paper because I never saw him without that smile. His face always lit up when talking about family, especially Anna's gymnastics (he was so proud of you) and his granddaughter. I will miss him.

We enjoyed updating each other and comparing notes about planning issues in our respective communities. I will miss my colleague and kind friend.

Gentle manner, soft spoken, and knowledgeable, I know Chris mostly through our shared profession. He was one of the group of planners in my "generation" I truly longed to see when we gathered at conferences and other such events. We enjoyed sharing news about our jobs, families and other activities we were involved with. Chris was truly one of those quiet personalities who made a difference and will be missed by all that knew him. God bless his family as we that knew Chris were blessed by his friendship.
