Christa Franklin Obituary

Christa R. Franklin, 80, of Fort Knox, passed away Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.

Mrs. Franklin was a member of St. Brigid Catholic Church in Vine Grove and she was known for her remarkable work as a diamondologist. Her memberships and former memberships included Order of the Eastern Star, Damascus Court No. 27 Deputies of the Oasis A.E.A.O.N.M.S. Shriners, Professional Men's Club Lady Auxiliary and she was a Kentucky Colonel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Franklin; a son, Van Eric Franklin; two sisters, Erna Frankfurt and Anna Trumper; and a brother, Franz Rubik.

Mrs. Franklin is survived by two stepchildren, David Robb (Carol) and Sheila Franklin; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

The funeral for Mrs. Franklin is at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, in the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home in Vine Grove. Burial follows in North Hardin Memorial Gardens in Radcliff.

Visitation is from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
