Doris Jean Edlin

Doris Jean Edlin, 83, born Doris Jean LaMaster on Sept. 9, 1942, in Hardinsburg, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 26, 2025, at her residence in Hodgenville

Throughout her life, Doris was deeply rooted in faith and family. For the past 28 years, she served as the dedicated church secretary at Union Christian Church in Hodgenville. Her commitment to the church community was a testament to her steadfast spirit and devotion. Doris also spent cherished years helping her daughters raise her grandchildren – a time they held dear.
Doris' beloved husband, Harold Edward Edlin, preceded her in death.

Doris' family was central to her life. She is lovingly remembered by her three daughters, Donna (Marcus) LaFollette of Hodgenville, Melissa (Terry) Wyatt of Berea and Heather (Jeff) Meredith of Elizabethtown; she is also remembered by her seven grandchildren, Aaron LaFollette, Nicholas (Sabrina) LaFollette, Daniel Wyatt, Austin Wyatt, Grace Meredith, Walker Meredith and Logan Meredith.

A funeral honoring Doris' life is at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Brothers Steve Campbell and Sid Lewis officiating. Doris will be laid to rest next to her husband in Union Christian Church Cemetery.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and continues at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home

Doris' memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her through her unwavering dedication to family and faith. May her legacy continue to bring comfort and inspiration to all whose lives she touched.
