Esther Burkhard Obituary
She was Dec. 7, 1912, in Saint Joseph, Missouri, to Philip P. and Hattie Williams Weller.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred J. Burkhard; a sister, Eleanor Jackson; and a brother, Philip Sydney Weller.
She is survived by two children, Elanor Burkhard Brawner (Larry) of Elizabethtown, and John P. Burkhard (Trudy) of Lexington; four grandchildren, Neal F. Brawner, of Jacksonville, Florida, Rebecca Burkhard Ratliff (Jonathan) of Louisville, Beth Anne Brawner Ahlhaus (Paul) of Shepherdsville and Julie Burkhard Fritts (Jonathan) of Bethesda, Maryland; four grandchildren, Ellie and Bennett Ratliff, and Maya and Hannah Fritts. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home in Liberty with the Rev. Paul Patton officiating.
Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14. Burial follows in Mount Pleasant church cemetery at Creston.
