George Kissell Obituary
George was born Dec. 1, 1952, in Milan, Indiana.
George took great pride in caring and providing for his family. Beginning in carpentry, he progressed to a director of quality control allowing him to provide for his family and travel overseas as a humanitarian worker. George enjoyed woodworking, handcrafting metal sculpture, drawing and being in nature. His greatest pride was being Papaw George and spending time with his family. He will be remembered as the loving husband, father, grandfather and friend that he was. The love he shared with us all will live on eternally.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Kissell and Beverley Ludwig.
George is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Teresa. George and Teresa built a beautiful life and family with their five children and eight grandchildren, Ryan (Lori) Kissell of Mayslick and their two sons, Daniel (Lou) and Cody Kissell of Fort Campbell; Melissa Zwiesler and her two children, Jacob and Makenzie Zwiesler of Centerville, Ohio; Lyndsay (Nicholas) Kissell Viers and their son, Henry Kissell Viers of Cincinnati, Ohio; Jessica (Donnie) Cochran and their daughter, Kaylynn Cochran of Elizabethtown; and Amanda (Jarred) Duvall and their two children, Mason and Anna Duvall of Rineyville. The family also is awaiting the arrival of the first great-grandchild. George also is survived by his four siblings, Robert (Jacqueline) Kissell of Beavercreek, Ohio, Debbie (Eddie) Johnson, Steven (Sherry) Kissell and Jacke (John) Bates, all of Osgood, Indiana.
A celebration of life is from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at the Baymont by Wyndham in Elizabethtown.
