Jesse Garten Obituary

Jesse Garten, 38, of Elizabethtown, passed away Dec. 22, 2024, at U of L Medical Center in Louisville after a tragic accident.

Jesse was an employee of Metalsa where he was a Welder and Union member. He was extremely hard working and always wore a smile. He put others first and spent most days trying to help those he loved in any way he could. Jesse was a skilled carpenter and loved to travel. He cherished children and had a huge soft spot for dogs. He will be more than missed.

Jesse is proceeded in death by his mother, Terry; father, William Garten; and step-father Ford Wells.

Jesse is survived by his daughter, Emily Garten; step-daughters, Sky and River; and their mother, Kelli Maynard, of Inez; his brothers, Brandon and Christy Wells, Richard and Renee Wells, Andrew Wells, Sky Garten and Tony Garten; and his sisters, Nila (Burl) Penix, Tracey Vanover and partner Jason Jude, all of Tomahawk. He is also survived by many special cousins whom he loved as siblings, Tiffany and Tom Piotrowski, Mikhale Piotrowski, Brooklynn Piotrowski, Emilee Mayes, JT Piotrowski, Luke Piotrowski, of Elizabethtown, and Kris and Caroline Akers and family of Geogia.

There are so many more who loved Jesse and he truly loved them. His memory will forever hold a place in all of our hearts. Life will not be the same without our best Bub.

There will be no public services for Jesse. A spreading of ashes ceremony will take place at a later date, along with his mother Terry.
