Joseph Lucas Obituary
He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Anna Pyle Lucas; his parents, Vernon Taylor and Anna Brashear Lucas; four brothers, Earl Lucas, Duluth Lucas, Clifford Lucas and Ray Lucas; and two sisters, Audrey Hundley and Thelma Jean Buchanon.
He is survived by his son, Terry (Michelle) Lucas and a daughter, Iva Jo (Ronnie) Peters; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2025 at New Salem Baptist Church, Vine Grove, with the Rev. Ron Davis officiating. Burial follows in New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Vine Grove.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Vine Grove and from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at New Salem Baptist Church.
