Larry Epling Obituary


Larry Edward Epling, 65, of Elizabethtown, passed away Monday, June 15, 2015, at his residence.

Mr. Epling was retired from the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ramona Ellison; his grandmother, Kate Epling; a his mother-in-law, Helen Lee.

Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Janice Epling; a son, Eddie Epling and his wife, Wendy, of Chattanooga, Tennessee; a daughter, Lisa Futrell and her husband, Charles, of Owensboro; three brothers, Richard Ellison and his wife, Villamar, of San Antonio, Jimmy Ellison and his wife, Fran, of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Thomas Ellison of Charleston, West Virginia; four grandchildren, Josh and Ally Epling and Caitlynn and Ian Futrell; a sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Brad Belfield of Goodyear, Arizona; a brother-in-law, Dennis Lee of Phoenix; and a host of family and friends.

Mr. Epling's funeral is at 1 p.m. Monday, June 22, in the chapel of Coffey & Chism Funeral Home in Vine Grove with Brian Berndt officiating. Burial with military honors follows in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central in Radcliff.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
