Larry Mullins Obituary
He was born July 18, 1949, in Avondale, West Virginia, to William "Bill" Mullins and Eunice Frye. After 25 years of service, he retired from the Army as a staff sergeant and a veteran from the Vietnam War. A few of Larry's favorite things were working on cars, watching boxing and spending time with his grandkids, family and friends. Larry was a father figure and friend to all.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Brummett Mullins; parents, stepparents, Harris and Inez Frye; grandson, Max Moon Mullins; and two brothers, Ricky Mullins and Junior Frye.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Sheila Mullins; son, Larry Mullins Jr.; daughter, Sherry (Francisco Padilla) Mullins; six grandchildren; TJ Embry, Larry (Michelle) Mullins III, Sierra (Joshua) Rojas, MaHaleigh Mullins, Natalie (Tyler) Riggs and Jayden Lynch; nine great-grandchildren, Phoenix Mullins, Jakob Embrey, Cambrie Riggs, Sophia Meadows, Josiah Rojas, Teddy Mullins, Honesty Neal, Presley Riggs and Isabella Rojas. Larry also is survived by one brother and three sisters.
The funeral is at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at Manakee Funeral Home in Upton with family officiating. Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central in Radcliff.
Visitation is from noon to 8 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
