Survivors include his wife, Hilda Yancy; two children, Jennifer Yancy and David Kennedy; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service with military honors is at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 19, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central in Radcliff.

To all the family....Hilda, David, Jennifer, Tom and Chris, all those who love and will miss Mike...He was a special part of our childhood, us kids were always happy when " Uncle" Mike came to visit. He was so full of life and always had a smile to share with us kids so we adored him. In recent years he would come to my house to visit when Mom and Dad ( Stanley and Dee Yancy)were visiting from Florida and he was the same as I always remembered full of life and sharing his contagious laugh and smile, even though he was dealing with the cancer and treatments. God bless you all with peace and comfort With heart felt condolences, Sherri Yancy Turner and family
