Neva Gibson Obituary
She was born March 9, 1948, in Sonora, to the late Andrew T. Patterson and Juanita Bale Patterson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charlie Patterson; and a sister, Cindy Nunn.
Neva was a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church and attended Garner Missionary Baptist Church. She loved to fish, work crossword puzzles and spent many days worrying about her sons in law enforcement. She was a retired paralegal for Ashland Oil, where she worked in the Bellefonte Pavilion.
Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years and five months, Bob Gibson of Catlettsburg; two sons, Jim Gibson and wife, Stephanie, of Ashland and J.W. Gibson and wife, Radella, of Bradenton, Florida; four grandchildren, Kayla, Cassie, Courtney and Jimmy; and a great-grandchild, Lane.
Visitation is from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel in Ashland. A graveside service follows at Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum with the Rev. Gary Arrington officiating.
