Pamela Wuokko Obituary

Pamela Jean Miller Wuokko, 70, of Cecilia passed away Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.

She retired from the Hardin County Board of Education with 20 years of service. She loved each and every one of the children who came through the lunch line.

She was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church and Pole Bridge Baptist Church.

She was sweet, friendly and never knew a stranger. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her two daughters, Dena Michelle Taber and Tanya Lynn Taber; and her parents, Joe Alex and Mary Gladys Hayes Miller.

Survivors include her husband, Stephen John Wuokko; a stepson, John Wuokko of Vine Grove; a brother, Joseph Lanny Miller (Frances) of Eastview; three sisters, Judy Douthitt of St. Paul, Kathy Brown-Bradley of Elizabethtown and Vanessa Miller of Bardstown; seven nephews and three nieces; and her very loved fur babies, Sadie, Milton and Millie.

The funeral is at 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, at Trowbridge Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Pastor Chris Workman officiating. Cremation will follow.

Her ashes will be laid to rest with her daughter, Tanya, at Pole Bridge Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation begins at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
